I have taken pride in this beautiful 2-story cottage, which includes 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, an entry parlor and a cozy family room. Included on this oversized 6,300 square ft. corner lot are vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, washer and dryer, a 2-car garage and so much more.

Whether you're enjoying the advanced Bose entertainment center inside, or the array of 3 patios, 3 decks, a large 26 ft private pebble bottom pool with a spa and a pond with a swing chair, you will certainly manage to find comfort and charm throughout! Located in a quiet neighborhood and just a few blocks from the beach, you can also venture out into the upbeat, cool neighborhood of Pacific Beach. Manifesting the true Southern California lifestyle, this area offers plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment along the boardwalk and beyond.

The sleeping arrangements include: 1 king bed in the Master bedroom upstairs, 1 king bed in the room closest to the pool, 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, 1 queen in the room near the front door, the living room couch folds out into a full bed, and 2 blow up mattresses: 1 queen and 1 twin.

Please note: There is no AC in this home. Being located along the coast brings cooler temperatures and a coastal breeze. There are 4 ceiling fans in the home that brings air circulation throughout the house. Each bedroom has a fan or ceiling fan or both. The owner has also situated above in a separate apartment located above the garage that is not connected to the house.

Please note that checks/Venmo are the preferred method of payment. A convenience charge of 3% for domestic and 4% for international card fee will be deducted from the deposit in order to keep our rental rates as low as possible. If the fee's are larger than the 3 or 4% it will be detailed in the refund. The initial $1000 deposit at booking will not be subject to a fee. Also, check out time is 10 AM. If you cancel your booking more than 60 days out there will be a $100 processing fee, 30-60 days out 50% refund of amounts paid, less than 30 days there is $0 refund.

There were 9 women getting together for our yearly “reunion.” It was good to have a location with ample parking since many of us live locally. We were sad to see that the lush gardens pictured on the internet were left to die. We found the swing, but no pond. It would be helpful to have the outside cleaned up, dead plants removed, etc. I assume our drought forced the owner to stop watering. We enjoyed one of the patios & the pool/spa. The advertised supplies were not available. A few of us had to run home to bring in drinking glasses, bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels and dish towels. There were also a couple of maintenance issues inside. We couldn’t close the showe door upstairs & we’re afraid it would fall & shatter. And the faucet in one of the downstairs bathrooms would not turn completely off (not great in our water conscience community). We tried to get more air downstairs in the kitchen, but if both windows were open, the wood in between came out. Otherwise, we were comfortable and loved being together. The absolute best thing about this property is its location! Great for walking by the bay or beach, & easy access to markets, stores, etc. I urge the owner to please take care of this property. It could be a real gem!

We enjoyed our stay in Pacific Beach very much. Love that we were only of few blocks from the beach, Mission Bay, and lots of restaurants. We had access to the garage which was fantastic since street parking fills up quick. House had ample space for 4 adults and 2 children. And the pool and hot tub was great for relaxing after touring San Diego. The house is very cute and has a lot of potential but needs some TLC. With that I mean there were huge cob webs hanging from vaulted ceiling upstairs and fans had thick covering a dust and dirt. The house can use some painting as it looks old. Collectively as a group we felt that the house was not clean enough since we are paying a house cleaning fee. I found a receipt under the bed from June when I was making sure I did not leave anything behind. Overall, if you are looking for a great location with a pool and hot tub this house is a good choice.

The location of this property is fantastic. It’s 3 blocks from the bay and 3 blocks from the beach, so you get all the benefits of being so close but without all the noise at night. The area is very quiet and located right next to the PB public library which was great for our young children. The whole family really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor area. House had plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped. Marc was great and very attentive. He lives in the apartment next door and quickly responds when emailed. Overall, we had very good stay and would recommend it others.


This is an excellent vacation rental for anyone seeking a large house close to the beach in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego. The location is the best part - literally only 3 blocks to the beach, and 2 - 6 blocks to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. Marc was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. The house itself is fairly large, with two king beds, 3 double beds, a sofa bed, and two electric inflatable air beds. The house contains everything we needed for a weekend football trip - BBQ, full kitchen, coolers, etc. The hot tub attached to the pool is a very nice touch (though you have to turn it on and let it warm up before using it). There are also bikes and beach equipment in the garage that can be used. Negatives are few and minor. For those visitors looking for a perfectly maintained house, there is a bit of wear and tear in some areas - but nothing that detracted from our stay. The TV is fine, but we couldn't find ESPN on the cable box - not sure if we just missed it, or not subscribed? The garage is very large for one car, or two smaller cars, but we had an SUV and a minivan so it was pretty tight (though obviously not the fault of the garage!) On street parking can be a challenge if you will have more than 2 cars. Finally, the house is in a quiet neighborhood, and Marc rightfully insists that quiet time is enforced - if you are planning on doing a lot of outdoor hosting at night, this may not be the vacation house for you. But it was a great place for our visit to SD, and we'd happily stay there again.

House and spa were great. Did not use the pool as the "heated pool" option wasn't part of the rental. However, home could have been cleaned a little better prior to our visit. Floors were very dirty when we arrived and we had to scrub them since we had little ones crawling on the floor. Beds were clean, but not all "freshly" cleaned. Had to wash sheets on two of the beds as they had an old/stale smell to them. Neighbors don't like the "vacationers" - so you have to be very quiet at night and be very careful. Feel like the parking rules should have been pointed out - such as...the neighbor will turn you in if you park in front of your own garage. AND...the street sweeping the first Wednesday of every month should have been pointed out. Yes - there is a sign - but we're not from an area that has a street sweeper once a month. Owner was very prompt assisting when we had problems and the house accommodated our group very well.

The house was located a few blocks from beach in a nice neighborhood yet close enough to main Street areas to walk to the action, grocery store or beach Sea world was close enough we went to it and zoo multiple times --3 in 1 pass that you could purchase at sea world or online -- really cheap at Costco if you are a member and buy a few weeks in advance --gave you unlimited visits to sea world, zoo and Safari park for 7 days with extra perks Plenty of towels, water toys, ice chest were available Marc was extremely nice and accomadating to all our needs and questions Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and easily used to feed our group of 10 Pool and hot tub hit the spot at night after long days out and about fantastic patio areas with plenty of room we ate outside every evening at the table Even with 10 people - everyone seemed to have plenty of space The cool weather, nice breezes and fans in every room eliminated the concern of not having an AC The washer and dryer came in handy
